Hello,

FIrst time posting here, appologies if its in the wrong catagory.

I am going to change out the oil in the transfer case and differental gear oil in the differential. I would like to swap out the drain and fill bolts while I am at it as I probably wont ever do it again.

Anyways I am having trouble findering the right bolts on nissanpartzone.com

Here is what I have found:
for transfer case

http://www.nissanpartszone.com/componen ... -1502.html

i figured the drain bot is:

32103-01A0A

and filler is:

00931-2121A

As for the front diff:

http://www.nissanpartszone.com/componen ... -1502.html

My best guess is that the drain is:

32103-U840A

and fill is same as the transfer case

00931-2121A

The rear diff doesnt list anything, and I am not very knowledgable on this stuff, the website doesnt mention the LE model but my assumtion was that the SE model is close enough. Anyways just checking to see if anyone has run into this befor or better yet knows a more user friendly website.

thanks!

Welcome to NICO.

Please provide your VIN and I will look up exact part numbers.

I don't understand your reasoning for replacing the bolts, though - could you explain more?

Basically I noticed that the front diff had a small leak, bit of oil streak running down. As well I have had previouse experience with removing old bolts that once they go back on they... suck so a bit of paranoia on my part. Anyways My "front end" is on its way out so if fluid can escape then it would be all it takes to seal its fate.

anyways here is my vin thanks for your help!

Do note that the square hole in those is 13mm NOT 1/2" (12.7mm). Some folks have reported success using
a 1/2" ratchet but a 13mm square drive is right.

Excellent thanks for the tip!

Did anyone figure out a better schematic or website for finding these bolts?

Sorry, I haven't had the time to look them up just yet. Courtesy Parts has stellar diagrams but does not give out exact part numbers.

I do apologize for the great delay in looking up the part numbers for you.

Front differential:
Drain: 32103-U8401
Fill: [0093121210] PLUG (rear diff fill plug should be fine though - or even a drain plug if you want the additional magnet, on my Pathfinder I have a rear diff drain plug w/ magnet in the fill plug position for the extra magnet)

Transfer case:
Drain: 32103-01A0A (their photos of it looks like it's seen better days)
Fill: [0093121210] PLUG

Rear differential:
Drain: 32103-U8401
Fill: 43059-A1600

I was unable to find the fill plugs for the front differential and transfer case in Nissan FAST. Weird.

^that's awesome! I changed my diff fluid once (thanks to the help of the FSM and forum posts) but the mechanics that previously changed it really ruined those to the point where the special harbor freight tool i got we really loose in there. next time i have to do this i'll have to search for this post and pick up some new drain bolts, those are the only really bad looking ones. (I wish NICO had a save post for later feature)
