How can I bolt up a 1990 240 5speed trans to to 72 Datsun510.it has a 4speed the motor is a l16.

You need to get yourself a 280ZX 5 spd. It will bolt right up since the L28 is the same bolt pattern as an L16. I would also get an L20B while your at it to add some horsepower. The only thing you will have to do is a)shorten the drive shaft b)relocate or fabricate a trans crossmember c)move the shifter hole backward in the car. A 200SX "dog leg" 5 speed will bolt right up because it is the same length as the stock 4 speed.
