Trans Stuck in 3rd gear when put in D. 03 5AT

Ok here goes. I had a wire tuck done on my G. Some shielded wires were cut on the TB and engine wire harness.. Then the shielding and wires were soldered together by accident. That is when the Trans went into limp mode and only goes into 3rd gear. The wires were cut again and the then the shield and wires were split back apart like OEM. Now the MM will show 1m but the trans is still in 3rd gear. Any ideas on what might be still causing the Trans to stay in limp mode and anyway to correct this? I have had the battery disconnected. The car is still at the tune shop getting all the FI work done. I can't tune the car until the trans is corrected. Any takers on the Problem?

It will stay in fail safe mode until you get it fully diagnosed. There must still be an outstanding fault.

How long was the batter disconnected?

Have you done a reset on the ECU?

yes took it to a dealer blew 7 codes. Related to wire harness. So I guess I'm buying a new harness .

Is this the ECU harness? I had my car go into limp mode once, I believe it was moisture trapped in or near the ECU due to poor installation of a stereo system. So that would explain what happened.

I had my car limping in 2nd gear, I stopped the car, shut off, and restarted without any problems since. Well, now my car is shifting harder, I need to do a transmission flush...
