Hi fellow Z-heads, I just purchased (over Memorial Day Weekend) a silver 07' 350Z with 8900 miles: love it. I've been reading all the topics that have addressed the JOYS and saddness of owning a Z. My question is two part:

1. I too am noticing when in my garage and begin shutting off the engine I hear a sloppy loose grinding noise, however, (at least not yet) no gear shifting problems. If I purchase an aftermarket cluth will this clear the problem. I really don't want the hassel of dealing with the dealership if it fixes the problem.

2. When I run my VIN it does not tell me exactly what model I have, I was wanting to know if I have the LSD option. Also, does it really matter in my situation if I don't race. I use it as a daily driver and simply enjoy driving this gorgous machine.

Funny thing is I owned a 91' TT blk/blk and never had a day of issues. I ever had Jim Wolf Racing do mods on it and was very reliable.

Seriously no one knows about the clutch issue or LSD question. Thanks, Cris

Well you can tell if you have an LSD if you have leather Int. Then you have atleast the touring model and if u have cloth seats but you have the switches on the steering wheel then you have an enthusiest model. If you have cloth seats and no buttons on the steering wheel then you have a base and no LSD. Hope this helps. As far as the trans im not to sure

if the car is still under warranty, i'd take it to the dealer. It'll cost you a pretty penny otherwise.
