Trans question. only have 4th gear

i was driving and i have act 6 puck and i thought the clutch was slipping it would rev up and slip just like a bad clutch well i take the clutch out and it looks fine but im in there and so i change it. get all done and nothing same as before only 4th. i could have swore it slipped in 4th to begin with but not really sure. anyway i drain the trans to see if any metal is in it. nothing. i thought maybe the countershaft had broken off somehow. some other guy said its the 2nd 3rd shift fork. im confused help me out. im gonna get another trans and just rebuild that one later but its driving me crazy and i dont have time to pull it out and check it right now.

Okay i took the trans apart today and it was the reverse and overdrive shift fork that was broken only about an inch was broken off but thats all that i can see thats broken just seems weird why one shift fork would kill all the gears except 4th which i know is direct drive but it if was the 5th and reverse that was broken? didnt really look at it to see why it wouldnt work but thats what it was so if anyone has a similar problem could be a shift fork.

That isnt whats making it only run in fourth. The alignment key on the counter shaft has broke and the gear is spining on the counter shaft. It is the gear toward the tail shaft if I remember correctly. Its been awhile since I fixed one of those but have seen a few.
