Trans. problem...Help!!

I have a 92 240(automatic), the trans would shift hard between 1st & 2nd. Any idea??

would changing the trans. fluid help??

if so how many quart do i need to buy??

Maybe do a transmission swap?? Just and idea. On transmission fluid I heard Dextron (sp?) is good to use in automatics. We put a couple quarts in our 510 Wagon (auto) before it just quit. Lost oil pressure and died. (Has ALOT of miles on it lol)
