oh there is no dipstick..

there is a nut on the side of the transmission, take it out and check with your finger..

or

drain it out and put fresh in

the best place to put it in on 240 is thru the shifter.

you can pop the shifter out or put the trans in 3 and put it in thru the one of the gaps in the shifter.

If it's on the manual trans use mt90 or any other 80w90 gl-4 spec only.Valvoline swears their gl-5 is not corrosive to brass since their epa is not an active sulfate but i would recommend redline mt90

According to the FSM, it's 2.5 qts. You'll know it's full once it starts to pour out from the filler plug that is on the transmission on the drivers side. As far as getting the redline. I could not get it from any local auto parts store, I had to get some from autobarn.com

I use synromesh, since I can get it almost any where locally and its decently cheap.

I have used it in all my nissan manuals for the past 4 years.
