i absolutely love amsoil in the engine... but my tranny has royal purple 75w 90 and it works fine

i'm thinking of changing it to a mix of 15w 50 and royal purple synchromax soon though and i'll let you know what happens

I used whatever GL-4 they had there. My only suggestion is the order of fluid change.

Remove filler bolt(if this doesn't come out it makes it hard to get fluid back in)Remove drain boltDrain fluidReplace drain plugUse oil filler, oil pump, or equivalent (i didn't do this and had to fill through a tube running through the shift in the cab)then when the oil starts pouring back out of the filler plug, replace the filler bolt

Mine makes a noise but I think its my throwout bearing or clutch. kinda sounds like a spring unwinding.

the amsoil i put in is the 75w80 synchromesh fluid (i am an amsoil dealer so i had to try it)

i can tell you the RP synchromax is too thin as it is more like a 5w20 or a ATF fluid.
