Hey y'all

One of the previous owners had the trans replaced about 30k ago along with an external transmission cooler installed. I've been noticing trans fluid where I normally park the car so last time I drove it to work I pulled it in the shop and took a look at it. Not sure if the trans lines were all tube, or tube / rubber originally but now each line has about a foot of rubber trans line between 8" and 12" off the trans. So I'm leaking fluid from all four points, both ends of each rubber hose where its hose clamped onto the tubing. Looks like it was cut and poorly attempted to flare the ends, instead of beading them. I was going to see if a shop could bead them, but then I thought, why not put better lines on almost all the way up to the ext trans cooler. Anyone know the size/pitch/type of connection these lines have at the transmission ? I can't find it in the FSM. Also where might I be able to find/buy the lines ?
Thanks in advance ;)

Yeah, that info won't be in the FSM. My best advice is to try a thread checker and once you have the pitch, get some nuts in that pitch and try em out. Sorry I'm not much help on this one, but that's some specialty stuff. They don't offer that info on account of selling their own parts.

I've seen it done before. To me the cost/headache isn't worth the benefit of an extra gear.

Ok, so gave up on swapping to a manual trans for now. Got under the car and determined what I'd need to repair these leaking lines. The z32 uses 10mm tubing connected to the transmission by banjo fittings. The banjo bolts are 14mm x 1.5 pitch thread, with an 18mm head. Not sure what the connections to the radiator were as an external trans cooler had been installed so they cut the fittings off and basically just slid the tube ends into the hoses and hose clamped them down.
I did some online shopping checking out Jegs and Summit Racing. Summit had the best pricing and there's a store here in Georgia, so shipping was fast, ordered Thursday night, parts were delivered to my work Monday afternoon, and orders over $100 get free shipping
I ordered two 14mm banjo to 6an male threaded fittings, two Russell 6an hose to 6an female 45 degree swivel fittings, two Russell 6an hose to 6an female straight fittings, two 6an male to 3/8" barbed fittings, and 10 feet of Russell Proflex stainless steel braided 6an hose coming to $152 with tax.
I then measured and cut the lines, installed the fittings, one 45 degree fitting on one side and the straight fitting on the other. Put a banjo fitting on the angled fittings and the barbed fitting on the straight fittings. I decided to use the banjo bolts that were still in the trans as they were a bit beefier and a little longer than the new ones. Pulled the old lines out, ran the new ones and now have two leak-free stainless steel braided trans cooling lines that can handle 1000psi and up to 350 degrees ;)
I'll post some pictures sometime this week. Hope this may help someone in the future.
