Depends on your location. If you're in a more moderate climate, or in an area that's more than cold, you want to bypass the factory heater alltogether. The B&M cooler has a design that sends ATF back to the transmission without sending it through the fins if the viscosity is too thick. Using Mobil 1 ATF also helps with this... since it's viscosity should be more stable over a wider range of temperatures. In any case, a good warm-up cycle to operating temp. before driving will make sure you're in good shape.
If you're up north, a parallel setup may be more desirable. I've thought about some nice gate valves to switch over in the winter - but in my climate it's not worth it. In the snow belt you could swap in your old 2nd gear start TCU and flip the valves with your October oil change every year!
