my car makes a lot of noise when i shift at higher rpms. i can feel a chatter in the clutch pedal and in the shifter. i thought it was the throw-out bearing because it makes noise periodically when i depress the clutch pedal at idle.....anyone have any thoughts. it makes the noise and chatter mainly when i try to shift quickly

Likely to be a TO bearing heading south. Consider a new clutch kit along with the bearing, as pulling the transmission is a PIA.

Either one sounds fine, just put a new kit in while you've got the drivetrain spread out on the garage floor.

Do a search on this forum for the tricks involved in re-installing the transmission. It's not easy.
