I just bought a 90' 240sx KA24DE 5-speed. While installing the exhaust I noticed a wiring harness hanging down from the pass. side of the transmission with pigtails. I just want to know if it's the gear sensor, temp, you know....Another thing, there are 3 connected metal vacuum lines visible just beneath the throttle body. Mine have no hoses connected. I did however find 2 cut hoses coming from the AC pump area. I imagine those go...but what about the other? Thanks!

and you expect an answer within an hour of your initial post? keep in mind that most folks have other things they need to do too. On top of that, you've no pictures of the plugs/harness/lines you speak of.

A "BUMP" is used to promote your topic and relay a matter of importance. Not that I at all expect someone who wastes there time typing useless comments rather than trying to evaluate the situation and come to a resolve.

There's only 1 harness that is actually on the passenger side of the KA24DE transmission. And, only one set of connected metal vacuum lines right beneath the throttle body. Pictures are just gonna make the page load slowly. And hey, thanks.

Thanks for being specific. You say some wires are hanging by the transmission..but you give no indication as to where the wires are at, are going, or better yet the colors of them? Since your transmission does have a speed sensor, neutral switch, reverse light switch, 4th gear sensor, and 5th gear sensor, it makes it harder to pinpoint exactly what you're talking about, all of which reside on the passenger side of the transmission.

A matter of importance eh? Ok so an hour later, when your thread isn't half way down the first page, you bump again. Your problem isn't a major one and could have just as easily searched for your answer instead of wasting time making useless threads with useless rebuttals. But then again, I suppose people always like to believe their problems are always of top priority regardless of how small it really is.
