i heard that the non turbo z,s came with a plastic shift fork or something oranother in a 5 speed.and the turbo z's had liggit ones in them?

uh...nope, they are all made of metal, the z31 comunity as a whole tends to favor the 87.5-89 manual trans above all others and places the n/a trans as second best, and the 84-86 t-5 as the weakest, I have delt with these transmissions and feel they got the t5 al wrong, the t-5 is much beefier unit than the n/a transmissions, if you compare them side to side you'll see, and the drag comunity has validated this, there is a lot of misinformation out there taht gets accepted as common law after it's been regurgitated enough in the net
