transmission!!!!!!

I am currently driving a 1991 nissan 240sx fastback as both my daily driver and as my "joy ride" I dont exactly know what is it to the point but, its like when i put it in 1st or 2nd gear it gives a "tick" sound. it doesnt do it to where its every second, but when i put it to either of the gears, it "ticks" once. My other problem is that sometimes on both reverse and 1st, either the clutch or the transmission will not let me put it in unless if i release the clutch a little. what do i do?

I have the same problems. I am just planning on getting a new transmission.
