Ok, heres the deal: I am planning on swaping an SR20DET into my 93' 240 in the near future. The car is an auto right now. Today, I installed the pedals from a manual. The car starts of course, but would not go into gear as the brake interlock is not hooked to the new brake pedal. I jumpered the plug that used to go on the back of the auto pedal and now it goes into gear. Is there a better/more permanent solution?? Thanks

Just went out to tart the car, and the battery is dead. I guess this isn't the best solution. Anyone?

brake pedals are exactly the same except for length of the footrest.. there are 2 rubber stoppers on the pedal one is for brake lights the other is for the interlock if im not mistaken, make sure they are on there and are pressing on the button. look at your brake lights too

Actually, there is nothing on the back of the manual pedal for the interlock. In any case, I found a solution. There is a shifter unlocking device on the shifter. Duh! I feel like an idiot. I had been wondering what that was for...

there should be two "buttons" on the front portion of the brake pedal assembly that two plugs go into
