transmission swap question

i have access to an s14 transmission and was wondering if I get an s13 auto, would I be able to put the s14 5spd in the s13?

would it be a straightforward swap or no?

I posted this in the tech forum too, but I figured I would get a response here.

Quick question:

I have access to an entire ka24 setup with the 5spd from and s14. Would I be able to swap the 5spd from that into an s13 following the instructions for an s14? Any help is appreciated!

I just did mine a couple of days ago(s14 manual transmission into s13), and yes, it works. I'll give you a couple of tips.

- Block off the hole for crank angle sensor on the transmission. It's on top. I just left the sensor there.- Remove dust cover in the back. s13 driveshaft won't fit without removing it.- You MUST use s13 speed sensor. Remove s14 speed sensor from the transmission and swap it with s13 one.

Read your post again and are you trying to swap just the transmission or engine+transmission? engine+transmission swap is whole another stroy BTW. I thought you just want the transmission.

As far as I know, it's not a direct swap. Extra wiring is involved. Sorry, don't know the details.
