transmission swap into an s14

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I want to swap a manual into my s14, and was wondering if trannys from any other nissan model would work or if i have to get it out of a 240. also does any where make upgraded gear ratios for them? thanks
