With enough money you can do anything. Going from 5AT to 6mt in a G37 is simply not worth the money or effort. 99% of the time you are better off just trading in your 5AT car for a 6mt.

Just the way it is I'm afraid.

100% agree with Matt. The change from AUTO to manual is done on show cars with thousands of dollars in mods. It would be much cheaper to sell the AUTO and buy a 6MT.

But, it can be done. The cost is around 5k...but I've seen some builds of 10k.

It all depends on where you source the parts from and whether it's new or used. Then you have to factor in all the time for research, finding/sourcing parts, installing all the hardware, hacking and fixing weird issues, etc....Adding that cost on top of the cost of the car makes it really not worth it as you will never get the value back upon resale or in case of accident. It's cheaper to sell the auto and buy a used 6mt and go from there.

Not to mention that you don't just change the transmission. You also must install all of the clutch mechanism including the hydraulics (clutch master, etc.).
