I've read of other people's troubles with hard shifts when the car is cold and the suspected cause being a sticking shift solenoid. Has anyone ever fixed this problem themselves and is it an easy thing to do for a home mechanic?I need to correct this problem, and I'm looking for any advice. Thanks.

I would recommend taking a transmission concern to a specialist.
