I will tell you if you tell me how hard they are to replace. :)

The answer is no according to the dealer.

I got the Eaton kit (all 4) for the FGY33 and they worked well.

Why do you want to change these?

i got some hesitation in the shifts specifically 3-4 and lockup. since replacing the range switch, ive successfully been able to shift manually and in "D" upshift to 4th and lockup. i couldn't do neither before. anyway, it just feels the delay is a tad bit longer than it should. i do need a new tps and that could add to the problem. im a bit reluctant to do a full bg flush, knowing that could cause more problems and even increase the rate of transmission failure.

Have you tried a simple drain and fill of the ATF? I did a single drain/fill yesterday, got 4.5 quarts out {41%} takes all of 20 minutes, max.Do this every 15,000 miles and you are good to go.If your ATF has not been changed in a long time, do 4 drain/fills separated by driving a few miles inbetween to mix it up.Dont even need to raise the car to do it.....simpler than an oil change!

Sounds good q96, but what about the filter? I suppose that should be changed aswell? Bye, do you remember the name of the inline filter recommended to use?

Does your 1991 have an external filter added to it? The in pan filter is really not a filter, but a metal screen,no real need to change it more than 1x in the cars entire life {if that},I changed my screen once at 114,000 miles {and it was clean,a waste of time} transmission now has 287,259 miles on it,never dropped the pan again since. Many here use the Magnefine external filter element plumbed into a cooler line,a great alternative to the overpriced OEM nissan external filter kit.
