transmission smoke from shifter? WTF MATE!?!

So i'm trying to figure out what is causing it. Any ideas? You can smell that 75 90w transmission fluid. ewww. No driving issues what so ever. Runs fine and shifts ok. Grinds a lil in 3rd sometimes and 4th forget down shifting to 4th. lol. Anyhow, any ideas?

probably just some residue on the outside? is your transmission vent blocked?

? vent? where! i thought it was residual as well but i changed it like more than 6months ago. and i'm getting tired of the smell

theres a barbed vent near the middle, small 1/4" hose or so connected to it..
