transmission skips 2nd Gear

This is not as bad as it sounds. I like driving my 5 pseed AT in manual mode and normally while coming to a stop you can see the gears go from 5 to 4 to 3 to 2 ot 1 on the instrument panel (it is not actaully downshifting) . Now it skips 2nd gear.

Maybe I shouldn't make a big deal out of it. But was wondering if anyone had this happen to them?

What happens if you downshift manually?

If you can use second gear upshifting and downshifting manually I would not worry about it.

the AT has to override the fact you're not downshifting as you come to a stop. maybe it just isn't displaying the second it's in 2nd

What he said When i first got my 09 G37 my transmission did it a few times because of my off timing

normal... if you dont actively down shift as you come to a stop it will skip 2nd gear and 4th... if you were crusing in 5th as you come to a stop.
