Everything was good, then all of a sudden the car would shake from right under the shifter. It only does it from dead stops. even if it is not in gear and the speed is slow enough it will still shake. What can this be?

I would think that too, however it is a brand new nismo transmission mount from nissan. Do you think it may have come loose somehow?

what happened is that the transmission mount loosened or whatever, anyways, the transmission is slightly lower than before, causing the engine/transmission to be at an angle to the driveshaft...

so at low speeds the driveshaft is "trying" to raise the transmission up to its normal possition....i had that problem with my Volvo....the transmission rubber mount split in half and the transmission dropped about half an inch....horrible shuddering at low speeds...

what sucks is when you blow an engine mount on a transverse engine. then it torques in all sorts of fun ways!

So will tightening it up solve it for good, or will I have to re tighten every now and then?

i'm not sure if this is a good idea, but try using some loc-tite on it when you tighten the bolt back down.

To close the thread, I put the car up and the bracket that holds the drive shaft together (kinda u shaped) came loose and one of the bolts was missing. Just to help someone else who may have the same problem in the future. : )

Use a torque wrench next time.
