Just installed the 6 puck stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel on my '90 KA24E and every gear is pretty smooth. It takes a little getting used to but going into first from a stop I get some crazy tansmission shake. It a little unnerving and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Thanks guys

Thanks guys ya im going to bleed the slave cylinder first then ill check those mounts and make sure everything is still tight and nothing has shaken loose. Ill def check the drive shaft as well every bolt i took off i tightened down like a mfer and lock tighted but it never hurts to recheck.

Haha GO240 yess it is overkill but there is no substitute for breaking it loose in second . But on the serious side if your swaping clutches go big as long as you dont mind a little reduction in drivability b/c now if you decide to turbo and add some serious power you dont have to swap clutches again.

first thing to normally go when it comes to an upgrade like that is the transmission mount...its allso a simptom of motor mounts not being hard enough for the aplication you just upgraded to....the engineer's of OEM cars manufacture loose grip and week pressure plates for a reason, its to smooth the ride out for the average consumer...now that you have upgraded your ability to put horsepower to the ground..you may need to upgrade the mounts to keep your engine and drivesystem from flexing under load...it you watch option video's or have seen the cockpit view of a gutted race car..you will notice there shifter poping back and fourth...thats with the solid type mount to!..you have crap mounts more than likely..investigate a little bit and see if the rubber looks old and cracking..if so replace..to save some cash..you could allways use hockypucks for the motor mounts...good luck

Ahhh another great point I seem to have overlooked . Thanks for pointing that out. I'm def looking into the nismo transmission suport mount and now ill also look into some engine mounts or pucks haha. The more and more I upgrade my car the more and more I feel its turning into a restoration and I'm sure many of y'all agree and share the feeling.

its no biggie man..the transmission mount have have yet to make a work around..but motor mounts are a different story..if you plan on racing in any form..you will go throu motor mounts...i do sugest the cheep and easy to make HOCKYPUCK motor mount....i have a pic in my myspace pics showing my ka24de mounted with them..not only did it add extra clearence for the hood..but it allso lowerd the center of gravity too a bit..check it out.
