HELP!!! there's mtf leaking from around my sensors, if I take them out is there any gaskets, or o-rings, or anything needed to be replaced, also will I lose any transmission fluid? it's an 89 nissan 240sx manual transmission, thanks.

yes, you will loose some fluid. put thread sealant on the threads of the sensors and put them back in. the speed sensor has a gasket i think

Thanks a bunch, next question, they just unscrew counter-clock-wise right? I can't get them to move in any direction, and does the thread sealant need to dry, or how long should I wait to drive after I reinstall them, if I can ever get them out.

ok, this may seem like a really dumb question but I had a piss poor time pouring the MTF into the filler hole on the transmission. I had to make my own little hose/funnel thingy and it sucked, it worked but it sucked. so, my question is can you fill the transmission through the shifter hole? or is there a seal or anything that will prohibit that?

the leak from the switches is coming from inside the switch not the thread area. you need to replce the switches. yes you can pour fluid in through the shifter but make sure you remove the fill plug anyway so you know its full.Watch for it to start coming out the fill hole.

you may need to replace the gasket around the shifter if it tears when you pull it off.

Awesome, k, so generally how much are the new sensors and where can I get a new boot, I've been using a thick bag thingy, but I'd prefer to get a rubber boot.

I am not sure on the sensors they arent all that much. you can get them from the dealer along with the boot. for not a whole lot of money. I was reffering to the gasket under the plate the shifter and boot attach to but I guess if you use snap ring pliers to remove the shift lever you can pour the fluid in there too same difference.
