transmission question

ok guys my friend has a s14 240 auto and the reverse on the transmission does not engage at all but it does drive.... so he got pissed and now he wants to convert to a manual and there is a s13 at this junkyard and we were wondering if we could use all the parts from that car and put it on the s14 i have searched for a week long and i see some people saying that it wont and others say it will i just want to make sure because i really dont think those parts will be there that much longer!! thanks

you will need,

manual transmission, 90-98

shifter

clutch pedal and brake pedal 89-98

you can cut the factory auto brake pedal down to size

clutch master cyl, from same car

clutch slave cylinger and thing in line on frame same car

flywheel 89-98

clutch assy (ebay ) 89-98

S14 drive shaft ( http://www.auto-part.com) must be for same year and options like if you have ABS you will need a 5Sp w/ABS shaft

interior trim pieces (s14)
