transmission problems??

ka24de: there is a sound coming from inside the bellhousing. its kinda like a clicking sound. at idle and in neutral u can hear it, also kinda sounds like grinding. with the clutch pressed in you can not here it. it is loudest in first gear. even while im driving i can hear it then i just press the clutch in and let the rpms drop it goes away. please help. thanks.

sounds like throw out. u should do the pilot anyways but sounds like my problem lol ya im lazy i know plus it sounds mean hahah

Good possibility its pilot related. Just had the same issue and the pilot was not installed all the way into the crank. Will go away when pedal is depressed. Annoying more then you can imagine. I would probably pull the trans and take a look. I know that doesn't sound like something fun but thats the only way to find out for sure. Just my $.02

i had already dropped the transmission to replace the throw out bearing look fined fine and i had got the wrong one so i just greased it up and put it back. but then again i dont know what a bad throw out bearing would look like??
