transmission problems

so i was heading out to the lake crusing in 5th about 110km/h and all of a sudden the car slipped out of gear and revved really high, pulled over and tried to put it into gear again. the clutch wasnt catching. got it towed to the shop and the guy said i had a blown transmission because no transmission fluid came out. is he right or do i just need a new clutch?

id say if no fluid came out its roasted so yea u'd need a nutha 1
