transmission problem?

hey guys for the past week or so i noticed a grinding noise when i try and shift into 3rd gear and only 3rd gear on my 03 350z, i only have about 9,500 miles on it. Even though i have my foot all the way down on the clutch it still grinds every once in awhile. Anyone have any ideas what it could be, or anyone had this problem before?

could be a chipped toth or a syncro, either way the trans has to come out and get a full teardown and inspection, or just live with it till it becomes a real problem, if your not running a quality full synthetic gear oil in the trans now would be a good time to start, many Z32 owners claim this helps substantially with worn trannies

thanx man, yea that wat i was thinking about the syncro being bad, ill wait to tear down the transmission until it gets worse. it just sucks when im racing and trying to go and i miss 3rd gear beacuse of something stupid like that
