transmission problem 90 n/a 5spd

Car: 1990 nissan 300zx 2seater 5spd

new clutch installed installed but it does not go into gear would like to know if clutch was installed wrong or does that sound like a transmission problemcar was not running at all no engine just trans put new clutch since engine was already out now engines in and not going into gear

First of all, please learn to use correct grammar and punctuation. It helps us a lot when we can actually read what you are saying.

From what I get out of your story is that the engine is in and you can't get it into gear even though you have had a clutch installed. Did you install the clutch? Or did you have a shop do it?

I'd take it back to the local mechanic and have him check it out.

yea totally agree with nsr, if a shop did it make em prove they did it right. If nothing else you will get them to fix whatever is in fact wrong

btw you had a shop install a clutch in your trans without an engine? Then you put in the engine?

Who exactly did what here...
