I'm tearing the motor down to build internals this winter and I was surprised to find a Nismo Gmax (Exedy) dual plate clutch inside. When we installed the motor we never even disconnected the transmission from the motor so i just found it now.

Also, my motorset never had the transmission bracket for the drivers side. Does anybody have one of these laying around unused? This picture is the for the right side, but I'm missing the left side one. I need the bolts for it as well

Wow, kickass find. Thats exciting.

I need to see if my drivers side bracket will fit after I moved the motor up. If it still does not fit you can have it.

Well, it's kind of a blessing and a curse. So far, I haven't been able to find replacement clutch disks for it, and if I do I'm sure they'll be $800+

Can anybody help in finding a rebuild kit for it?

The part number is RS055 and it's made my Exedy just branded Nismo Gmax.

Nobody has any extra transmission brackets laying around from a blown transmission?

no idea where to get the replacement parts, but its the same clutch I've got. I picked mine up off a guy in orlando when I lived down there. Mine only has 1000mi on it maybe??? But would love to get discs and what not to rebuild it later, if you find a place that's got 'em.

RHDjapan should be able to get your the replacement parts for that clutch.

As for the braket, I should have one in the garage, I'll double check.

I checked RHDJapan and couldn't find the replacement clutches. I'll keep looking around though.

That would be great if you could find a bracket in your garage, I'd be happy to buy it from you.

Wow, thanks Carl!

With those part numbers I was able to find the disks on RHD.

$273.33 for each disk. That's cheaper than I was expecting.

might be a gamble, but if you contacted Exedy and got the replacement discs for their Twin plate for rb25, it might be a little cheaper. I'd imagine it being the same disc without the nismo markup

if i'm not mistaken I believe that the Nismo clutches are totally different that require them to be installed on some sort of gear looking hub instead of having the input shaft actually sliding through the splines of the clutch disks themself.

I have the clutch off now, and it appears to be a normal type clutch disk. Nothing special about it.I have an OS Giken dual plate clutch on the shelf too, and this Nismo one assembles completely different, but the clutch disks look the same.

Yeah, i may try to cross reference the part number to an Exedy number and see if I can pick them up any cheaper.

usually the clutch cover is fine unless you have some sort of scoring or heat marks on the surface. Also test the tooth tension on the pressure plate.

Besides that you'll need the disks, and the intermediate plate if there is one.
