transmission or Clutch??

I was racing the **** outta my car( 1990m240SX KA-24) the outher day, and my car strartd to shake when i put it in gear, then when i had it in gear it wouldent move when i pressd the gas...and the only gear that works is 4th....is it my Clutch thats gone or is it my transmission? cauz i have another 240 that i use for parts and im jus ganan swap the transmission or clutch

Are you able to shift gears? does the motor just rev? Need a bit more info on what was happening right before your trouble. If you push in the clutch can you put it into all of the gears?

yeah i can put it in to all the gears, and when i press the gas once im in gear it jus Revs up, and i can only drive in 4th gear..so it that the cluth or jus the transmission?

well considering im professional at blowing clutches. im going to have to

say

its the clutch. easy way to tell is this. put it in first and gun it. it should

start to very slowly move. this is around 6,000RPM. If it does move its the

clutch. Does it smell when you drive in 4th?

Oh sorry 4 not gettin back to ur question.. i droped my laptop..so i had to buy a new one. Yeah it did Stink when i drove it in 4th gear...( the only gear that worked) but i jus said **** it ..and i took the whole transmission out of my 89, bout a stage 2 clutch and jus swapped it all...and while i was at it i changed the Driveshaft to..( waist of money .....) but thanks 4 u guys's help 4 real.
