Are we talking about the AT-CHECK light?
Mike (Goody90Q45) tested the sensors (Revolution, Turbine Revolution, A/T Solenoids and Inhibitor switch harness) He didn't test all of them but you should.
And sometimes you need to lookup all the receipts and service history and see every when it was flushed. If never to once or twice then I am sorry because you might be stuck with THE BILL (new transmission). But no need to worry until you check those sensors with a multimeter as shown in the service manual:
