transmission needs resynced I thinks

So my gears are grinding in third and 5th. I have read before that it is not uncommon for 350z transmitions to need re-synced after a wile. If any of you ahve had this done can you let me know how much it is going to hit my wallet for?

if your gonna have to pay it out of pocket, id almost say look for a newer trans. i got a dealership warrenty on my 03' & had them replace the syncros right after i bought it. bout a year (& 13Kmiles) since, & 3rds already starting to go again.

sure someone on here can advise as to whether or not a swap to a newer gearbox is technically / fiscally feasible, but id think any trans work would be high to begin with

It's a simple part in the transmission, with minor changes that makes a big difference...

Revisions 000 through 004:1st: double synchro cones2nd: double synchro cones3rd: single synchro cones4th: single synchro cones5th: single synchro cones6th: single synchro cones

Revision 005 through 008:1st: double synchro cones"]2nd: triple synchro cones3rd: double synchro cones4th: double synchro cones5th: single synchro cones6th: single synchro cones

Revision 0091st: triple synchro cones2nd: triple synchro cones3rd: triple synchro cones4th: double synchro cones5th: single synchro cones6th: single synchro cones

To say that the transmission is weak is false advertising. The gears are thick and comparable to GETRAG. Means very very STRONG!! Just has a few weak links that needs to me massaged, (synchros)

So could I replace mine with a newere transmittion? I have an 03 but might as well put a new one in with more syncro's right?
