Just dropped my rebuilt kade back in tonight. Thought that my motor was sitting a little crooked and also noticed that my transmission is not lined up perfect with the shifter hole or the transmission mounts (sits about 2" to the driver side). There is still some play, and tomorrow i'm going to use a prybar and get it lined up. Anyone now if this is normal, or did I do something wrong? Could this be due to my new oem motor mounts?

Any help is appreciated. Thanx

well i'd assume once you get your transmission and engine mounts on, it'd fit fine.. i assume you left the transmission attached to the engine. it's gonna be a little off unless you line it up perfect with the engine hoist, thats how it was when i dropped mine in because i didnt have the engine hoist lined up perfectly. but once the mounts were secured it fit fine.

My mounts are in place, I just put the nut on the bottom to hold it in place and I have a jack under the transmission. My main concern was forcing it to line up and causing problems with my drive shaft and diff in the future. Just don't remember it being that out of align, i'm hoping it had to do with the new mounts. Thanks alot though.

Anyone else with a point of view?
