Well last weekend I was driving around and kinda started to smell transmission fluid. I havent had a chance to look at it till today( but it has been parked since). Well sure enough its leaking from the rear end of the transmission. Is there a seal there that wears out and need to be replaced?

I just got my s14sr swap running like a month ago. And this issue just started.

Yes, the rear trans seals go bad often. Especially if it wasn't replaced when you got the engine. I don't know about s14 trans's but I know that the s13 sr trans takes the same rear seal as the oem KA trans

Yeah, they make your life 10x easier. Just take your time and make sure you don't scratch the housing where the seal seats. I did that on my rear trans seal not deep or big, but I just spread liquid gasket around the sealing area before inserting the seal
