Alright.

I did my intake today, in the process I dropped a nut in the engine bay where I believe the transmission attaches to the axle.

I didn't think anything of it, it was tiny nut couldn't have done anything yet after driving two feet I hear a loud scraping noise, and my transmission starts leaking. It was definitely gear oil, of that I'm certain.

That nut is the only variable in the situation, other than that I have no idea what could have done it or anything. Irregardless of what happens it's gonna be in the garage tomorrow morning because I need a car for work and all that.

I looked and didn't see and scrapes, cracks, or anything really. If it wasn't leaking I wouldn't have thought anything was wrong, yet it was leaking.

So what do you guys think? It's a manual.

I think it's an axle seal and one thing hasn't nothing to do with the other.

Yea, that's what the shop originally thought lol

Turns out after pulling of the seal there was a golf ball sized hole in the transmission or something to that extent and now I'm being whacked for a new transmission lol.

According to their mechanic the nut could not have done that but he doesn't know what could so I'm at a loss.
