I drained the little bit of transmission fluid that was left in my transmission last night and then tried to fill it up and most of it just oozed out on the back of the transmission where the driveshaft goes in. Does not having a driveshaft make a difference as far as the leak it concerned?

From searching and previous experience, i know there is some sort of seal on the back of the transmission . Does anybody know if there is any other transmission that has the same size seal that i can use. I was thinking maybe Z32s might be the same since the trannies are about the same size and the driveshafts are the same.

thanks all

yes without a driveshaft your fluid will leak out. the DS holds it in.

your seal is fine, your driveshaft holds the fluid in.
