transmission issues... PLEASE HELP

I posted this in another section, but this seems to be the place to get the most help. Basically, I just purchased my first project car, a 96 240sx SE. When I test drove it I knew it would need a new clutch, horrible slippage. An hour after picking it up, it completely died. I could put it in any gear, and the car would just rev, no acceleration at all. There was a bad odor... the burnt up clutch. Does this sound like its simply needing a new clutch, or could there be actual transmission problems? Im far from an expert.

New clutch and resurface the flywheel.Dont keep on spining that sucker, you will ruin the flywheel

ya, get it towed to the mechanic, posibly flywheel damage already, make sure to get it resurfaced like pr240sx said.
