transmission Issue??

Hey got a 93 se (ka24de) hatch aprox 138,XXX. anyways getting harder to get into 1st and 2nd been running mobil 1 75w90 in transmission. curious because it recently got really cold where i am. hoping its not the syncros? and maybe just an adjustment?? any suggestions would greatly be apreciated. Thx!

my hachi had the same problem, and it was more and more progressive. eventually, i couldn't down-shift from third to second without having to slightly go in first. i think it ended up being the synchros, and i have no idea if anything's adjustable... at least for the average joe in his backyard. sorry i can't be of good help.

Sounds just like its really cold in your area, this will usually make shifting much more difficult as the fluid becomes much thicker. Thats what I have found here in MI, however it also could mean your synchros are on there way out. There is no way to adjust this.
