transmission install problems

i finaly got my clutch and pressure plat eon today and now i am trying to put the transmission back on. i have it up on the motor but it will not go in all the way. it si about maybe 1/2 inch from the front of the transmission to where it needs to be. no matter how much i move it or raise it still wont go in. does anybody have any suggestions. thanks.

Try having someone rotate the crank clockwise so the grooves slip in place.

Or just twist the transmission a little. When i did it, it was definately easier when i had somebody helping me. Order a pizza and call some friends...

ill have to try rotating the crank. and turning the transmission again. it took 4 pple to get it where it is now.
