transmission install problem?

Installing 5speed transmission into 89 s13 shaft will not slide in. Pilotbearing?Do i sand bushing down a little ? Any tips out there?

Its a little tricky try putting the car in 1st gear so the shaft dosnt spin well your working it in,thats the only way i could get the shaft in.

I put mine in upside down.

While upside down, slide the shaft into the clutch/pilot bearing, then turn it rightside up. Like he said, make sure it is in gear so the shaft doesn't spin.
