I need tips on how to put my transmission back onto my car with my engine still in the car. I am stuck and i've been trying for 2 nights now and can't get it in. Somehow I can't get the input shaft in.

Do a search and you will see all the tricks.

Rotate the transmission clockwise as you look from the rear until the starter bulge is about 5 o'clock. You can also loosen the engine mounts and jack up the front of the engine to tilt it, getting a bit more room.

Use a couple of jacks, to lift tilt , push wiggle curse a lot, until you get the input shaft in, be careful not to tear up the pressure plate splines.

Then rotate the transmission counterclockwise as you slide it forward.

exactly. if it wont mesh, just back it out an 1/8th of and inch and rotate it a bit, and re-stab it. it will go, everythings just got to line up.

Just be sure the car is supported by good solid jack stands as you do this. I have had a car fall on me and it is not fun. Fourtenitly I only got scrapes and bruses insted of squished.

ALLWAYS USE JACKSTANDS.
