Hi guys.

I'm installing my rb25det... took off the transmission and now it seems I can't get it back on..

what i try to do..:Adjust..clutch,,,..looks centered.. Enough room to push in.. took the shifter out.... turn to right.. turn to left.. adjust pin inside etc..

Is there a trick to this??

is the motor in the car while you're trying to mount the transmission? maybe lower the xmember a little to give you more head room...becareful

If the motor is in the car, try loosening the motor mounts and jack the front of the engine to tilt it down. Be sure lines and hoses are loose or have some slack.

i would say lower the entire motor/xmember down a little ways, that will give you some room to work. Get a transmision jack if you dont have one, putting the transmission on the rb25 was kind of tricky with everything out of the car, it just takes some "fidanglin" as i would call it.

so put the car on jack stands, support the motor with a hoist, unbolt the suspension linkage (everything connected to the xmember), unbolt the 4 xmember bolts, lower the entire thing down and then work that transmission on there...

sounds easy enough right? well thats how i plan to do it when i need to replace the clutch which will hopefully be far far down the road.

I had also read somewhere that you have to put nissan trannies in turned some and then once you stab it you turn it straight.

I just put the transmission on the motor and dropped it in as a whole. Be outdoors with plenty of vertical clearance for the engine hoist. When I put the transmission on with the motor sitting in my garage, I had to put it straight in and wiggle it a little bit. If the clutch disc is not lined up right then it won't go into the crank (pilot bearing...).
