tranny identification (picture included)

hey guys, i have been hunting a 5 speed for a while and i said something to a friend of mine who has a 521 truck and he said he thought the Lseries motor he had been given for his truck had a 5 speed. this was what he was told. i went and looked and without a shifter i couldnt tell if it was a 5 or not to be honest with you. it was 27 1/4" long from the bell housing to the driveshaft mount.

That looks like a basic old A type four speed.

Thats an L series 4 speed. You can tell because they had a flange @ the rear which bolted to the driveshaft. I know...just did the 4 to a 5 speed Z trans. swap a few months ago on my 71 521. If you need pics or advice/tips let me know.
