I am currently replacing my old ka24de with a lower mileage one. After cleaning the entire engine and transmission, i found somethign on the transmission and i forgot where it went. its sorta like a rubber hose that connects to a hardline. heres a picture

i would just ilke to know what it is for and where it goes exactly cause i can't figure it out. thanks

Last summer when i put my 96 ka in my 91, i ran into an orange hose on the transmission, i couldnt figure out what the hell it went to, so i just kinda tucked it to the side, haha, the transmission works fines and the engines still runs great, im not sure if that helps for your problem though.-James

That, guys, is your evap line. It allows moisture inside your transmission to escape when it heats up. It goes on the top transmission bolt when you put it on the block. If you look at the engine from the back, it goes onto the highest transmission bolt on your right. This way, moisture doesn't enter but it can leave.
