transmission fluid question

for my KA transmission is it better for me to get fluid from the nissan dealership or is it ok to get off the self fluid from a random store, someone told me it wrecked their transmission in 3 weeks

according to the manual 75w through 80w-90 works fine , i recommend Lucas Gear oil 80w-90 , thats what i use and it was recommended to me by a mechanic , its about 8-10$ at the auto parts store. works really well , anyways nissan will charge you a arm and a leg , good luck

thanks for the help, yeah see i didnt think it would matter if it was dealership stuff or not pffft who knows it was a honda guy who told me so
