transmission fluid change

i was wondering if changing the transmission fluid was something i could do on my own or have to take to the dealership?

It's just a drain and fill so you can do it on your own.

If you have a CVT, however, I have the feeling that if you don't do the fluid change with them it will be hard to get them to honor the warranty. It'd be a shame especially since they've extended it.

As long as you have receipts for NISSAN CVT fluid you are ok...

drain/fill at 30

flush at 60k

I am at 37000 miles but never got my cvt transmission oil done. Is it bad and how much does it cost to get it done?

is that only for the manual transmission bc it has manual in capital letters and i have an auto matic

Here you go dude. Check out this link and it might be of some help to you. Go down to what Blake adidas2go posted. It seems that there are 2 options on doing it yourself and they are fairly easy and cheap for you to do.

When I asked my dealer if they replaced the CVT fluid during their 100+ point used car inspection they said to replace CVT fluid @ 200k??? I think I need a new mechanic!

thread revived! lol i just finished taking my car to a shop to do my transmission fluid change and i actually got lucky! it turns out the owner knows my dad somehow and he charged me 20 bucks to do the job(of course i bought the oil myself)
