Probably want to mention if you are dealing with a MT or AT. I assume MT since you want to put MT-90 in. I've had MT-90 in my coupe for a while and have not complaints, it stopped some minor grinding between 2nd and 3rd.

For auto you need to drop the pan to remove the fluid. Go around the transmission pan and break the bolts loose. Then drop one corner, starting in the corner and working your way down each side until it starts to come out. use a large drain pan as it's going to come out all over the place. REMEMBER when the fluid stops dripping, there's still fluid left in the pan! Be carefull pulling the pan all the way off and pour what's left into the drain pan you're using.

Make sure to replace the transmission fluid filter as well (just like doing an oil change) while you've got the pan off and the fluid out.

When it's time to refill, do it through the dipstick with a funnel.

That's just my $.02

Heh. I just assumed MT since you were talking about MT-90. Sorry.

I haven't owned an auto in 4 years (thankfully), but back in the day I put quality name brand ATF in it. I don't think there's any "miracle" ATF brands out there

Yeah... No clue about ATF. I've never serviced an automatic transmission. If I did, I'd put something cheap in it.
