transmission feels like its starting out in second and wont shift into OD 95 240sx

I checked the oil level and its good and clean looking. also another thing i noticed is that when i depress the gas pedal all the way down i hear a clicking noise.

Make sure that the shifter is actually in 'D' drive with the O/D button depressed.

The clicking noise when you push the accelerator all the way down is the automatic's 'WOT' (wide open throttle) switch.

ya it is in d and od is depressed. I just realized that it might be my brakes draging. alo when i was driving it last night around 40mph in decelaration it keep on down shifting into the same gear.
